On July 23, 2025, the Amom Foundation proudly hosted the official donation of the Guinness World Record-winning Toghu marathon attire worn by our founder, Afowiri “Toghu Marathoner” Fondzenyuy, during his historic marathon runs across six continents.
This emotional and symbolic handover took place at the National Museum of Cameroon in Yaoundé, with the presence of:
The Minister of Arts and Culture
Representatives of Cameroon’s sports and heritage institutions
Press and media professionals
Cultural stakeholders, children, and supporters of the Amom Foundation
The Toghu attire—now preserved as a national treasure—represents far more than a world record. It embodies:
The intersection of Cameroon’s cultural identity and global visibility
The power of sport to inspire inclusion, peace, and education
A tribute to all children with dreams, especially those facing learning differences or systemic challenges
Live unveiling of the Guinness World Record medal and attire
Keynote speech by the Toghu Marathoner
Announcement of the Yaoundé Culture Marathon to be launched in 2026
Youth cultural performances and media interviews
Launch of the #ToghuGiving campaign to support autism education and school projects
