THE VISION

Every child deserves to be seen.

The Inclusive Center is AMOM’s developing flagship initiative: a vision for a more sustained and locally responsive setting in which children and families can access understanding and support.

The idea is personal and grounded in the foundation’s education history. It draws on experiences of people whose opportunities changed because someone made room for them—and on families navigating autism-related barriers today.

WHY THIS MATTERS

A center is more than a building

Its value will be measured by how people are welcomed, how support is delivered, and how families and professionals shape a responsible model together.

THE WORK ALREADY UNDERWAY

Community understanding comes first.

AMOM’s existing work includes autism education reaching approximately 350 people and a separate Bafut District Hospital engagement with 57 postnatal women.

These activities demonstrate relationships and an emerging inclusion-focused program. They do not mean the Inclusive Center is already open or providing services.

THE WORK DELIVERED
COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONS

Learning from outreach and education.

A responsible center will need a clear service model, an accessible environment, qualified professional input and genuine participation from families and autistic people.

Potential areas include family information and guidance, inclusive learning support, professional collaboration and community awareness. The exact services and opening timeline remain subject to planning and resources.

PEOPLE & OPPORTUNITY
THE WAY WE WORK

Built with people, not only for them.

Sustainable results begin with listening to the people most affected by a challenge. Projects become stronger when they combine local knowledge, the right partners and a clear understanding of what can realistically be delivered.

Our process emphasizes participation, responsible implementation and learning from outcomes so support continues beyond a single activity.
