Founded with a clear commitment to education access, Amom Foundation has already impacted over 18,000 children across rural communities through textbook distribution, school support, teacher training, and inclusive learning advocacy. In recent years, the Foundation’s work has expanded to address neurodiversity, particularly autism—an area where awareness, diagnosis, and support remain extremely limited across much of Africa.
A key next step is the establishment of a Neurodiversity Center, envisioned as a safe, structured space for children on the autism spectrum, alongside training programs for teachers and parents to better understand and support different learning needs.
The Foundation’s visibility has been amplified globally through the long-distance running efforts of Afowiri Kizito Fondzenyuy, an Abott Six Star Finisher and a Guinness World Record Holder, whose Toghu Marathoner journey has consistently raised awareness and funds for autism and inclusive education. Running marathons across continents, Afowiri has used sport as a storytelling tool—helping international audiences connect emotionally with children and families they may never meet, but whose challenges are universal.
Amom Foundation is calling on runners, families, workplaces, and community groups to join our team and donate here to help transform endurance sport into a platform for empathy, inclusion, and lasting change.
